Anthony Pavone
Anthony Pavone, from Cleveland, Ohio. Attended Ohio Northern University from 2015-2019 and graduated with a management and finance degree. While attending school, I was a member of the lacrosse program, which started its inaugural season in 2015. Since we were all freshman, our coach decided only upper classmen were able to be captains, so the team had a leadership committee instead, which I was a member of throughout all four years; then later promoted to senior captain. I also earned conference recognition and was awarded all-conference each year and in my senior year, I was able to be recognized as an all-region player. Among these accolades, my teammates had confidence in me on the field helping me rack up 148 points through my four years, second most points in ONU history.
In the off season, I was a coach. I coached for a travel team called ‘Force Lacrosse’ ages from 13u to the high school level. The coaching skills I have gained were a direct impact from playing under my college coach, Nat St. Laurent. Coach Nat is proudly representing the ONU Polar Bears while coaching at the highest level, in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He is the head coach for the PLL Redwoods. I had the privilege of being coached by the best which has provided me with the resources to give back to the players I coach. With my on field experience and IQ of the game, I believe I will be a great addition to the Tribe Community.
